I get why they ended the movie the way they did. But it wasn’t very satisfying for some reason. Also all the sex stuff was unnecessary and awkward. There were a lot of unnecessary parts that weren’t interesting SPOILERS STARTING NOW- Like the girl the boy likes, her character could’ve been cut entirely. The dad’s ending was unsatisfying too. I wish he got to see the mom well taken care of and happy again so he could regret walking out on her. I liked that we got to see the boy become a good man because of Frank. I wanted the sirens to get loud while they hugged and then quiet as they passed them going somewhere else. Maybe they could’ve gotten caught trying to leave town by the dad and the boy could’ve sacrificed himself by distracting him somehow so the couple could make it to Canada. Then he could’ve joined them in the end somehow. Idk good premise I guess. The ending was just a weird kind of sad, not satisfying like some love interest dies so the other can live or something. It was not good that he went to prison or that they lost contact for years. They both had splice depressing backgrounds with cheaters for spouses. I wanted them to have a life time of love.
