Beyond the movie synopsis, it’s difficult to understand what’s happening in the beginning but I do like the journey to understand the history of the three characters and how they arrived where they are. It’s beautifully shot and the actors do a wonderful job of understanding the characters.
There is a huge gap though, the movie fails to explain what happens in the gap between their life in the late 50’s and the present time several decades on. There’s no explanation for what living occurred in between. In the very least, I would expect the movie to tell you how Marion found out about Patrick’s condition so she could take him home. I think this is a tremendous flaw in the script.
Overall still a lovely movie, but I do feel like there were pieces which would’ve been important to character building that weren’t included in the final cut.
