Bought this as a treat for my kids and to keep them occupied during lockdown. Imagine the disappointment when it transpires that, despite allowing several players to live on the island, only ONE player has the ability to really fully enjoy the game!
Seriously bad game design.
I cannot think there is anything other than a nefarious reason for doing this. We can play Mario Kart 8 and we can all have our own characters and game progress saved, but, not on Animal Crossing! A potentially great game reduced to a totally mediocre one (for those other than the first character to play the game, and if that person loses interest and doesn't play, you might as well forget it as any other player will be missing out of the full playability of the game). Do not buy if you're thinking this is a family or collaborative game. It isn't.
