If you're like me, your frame of reference for a good show is very complex and most of the time it piggybacks off of other shows. If you enjoyed The Office, Parks and Rec, HIMYM and other such shows, you will absolutely love Brooklyn 99. The characters are well-developed and amazingly portrayed. It tackles current issues in an organic manner. The drama is progressive - but the good kind of progression. And there has not been an episode where I didn't burst out laughing at some point. It is incredibly easy to sift from season to season without noticing the time. A friendly caveat before you watch: You will see a lot of Charles Boyle in yourself and you will love him devotedly throughout the series.
