Love his past films, this is a confusing but stylish mess. The cast is amazing but he doesn’t use them nearly enough, over directed? Under directed? Maybe he spent more time on the look of the picture and forgot things like story, character and engagement. Tom Hanks can do no wrong and the three daughters were fantastic. It’s no Grand Budapest.
