Procrastinated watching it because I thought it was going to be cheesy. I thought it was going to be another lame, and played-out, portrayal of a teenage girl with a guitar and a musical dream. This is a great movie. It quickly sucked me in with real-life-type dialogue instead of a watered-down version of how people are theoretically supposed to speak. I loved Ruby's direct family and music teacher's performances as well and also a bit of a tear-jerker.
