This movie can be viewed by those who know the game and does who do not. Producers, directors, etc. did well in not describing the famous moves in details. Those who know do not need the explanation and will benefit with knowing about the moves (they can check them out on their own). And those who know nothing about chess will understand the impact of the move without hearing the details. Well acted and captivating--almost a true story. I had to stop at a certain part (drugs, heavy drinking=casual sex) since--in my opinion--the episode detracted from the heretofore focus on improving the game to become the best there is... more so with the new, ambitious project in the works. How can such analytical, logical person deviate from her years-long straight behavior knowing how drugs could impact her game? As I write this I realize the latter is how many successful young and adults fail miserably (health-wise and monetarily) when they should know better and, in the end, episodes like that one may be a learning lesson for all. Hence, my solid five stars so far. And I will continue watching the series. UPDATE: I finished watching the series and loved it.
