Every relationship must go through its own Auschwitz to realise its true value. In this movie a bafoon gets a moon, but he doesn't realise the moon's true value. His vision is shadowed by the dark side of the moon. He is more concerned by what other would think about the blemishes on the moon rather than appreciating it while it's full moon. So he must go through his own WW II / Aushwitcz experience to realise the value of relationships.
