TRULY AWFUL MOVIE deserves no stars. Whether it was meant to be fictious as they claim, it was very distasteful and disrespectful Marlyn Monroe who was sexualized and mistreated throughout her life and her death and this movie was just adding to the fire. If they wanted to make a fictious movie they could have invented a fictious character. Don't even get me started on the creative choices! The scene where Joe dimaggio looks like he's I'm a video game. The scenes with the baby in the womb. The replaying of her skirt flying a hundred times. Poor choices all around. Now the scenes where shes talking to her baby?? Now what's that about. This is my first bad review on a movie as I've never felt a movie was so deserving of bad reviews. I wish I did not watch it on Netflix ad to not add to the profit of this movie. How disrespectful to show Marlyn as such a weak and brittle and stupid and sad and brainless and traumatised woman instead of a strong and smart and intelligent and talented woman. She is portrayed through the eyes of the men she is with not through her own point of view. Oh and filming in the room she died in???? She should've done worse than haunt you. I've read several bad reviews but many praise Ana's performance and I have to disagree. To be part of this movie in itself is disgraceful she did no justice to Marilyn's character and just played into the terrible narrative. Terrible movie. Terrible plot. Terrible execution. Terrible Terrible Terrible and unbelievably disrespectful. I could go on for days however I will end it here as you've gotten the point. Misogynistic and Disrespectful.
