Absolutely loved it. At first the writing was a little difficult to understand but the second chapter I got into the story.

Wow what an epic read. I almost gave up after 100 pages. But I kept going. In fact sometimes I wasn't sure what the book was about. My favorite character is Nora. I find John Irving absolutely a wonderful writer. Garp and Hotel New Hampshire being my favorites.

Wow. What a fantastic book. Now please other readers of this comment by me don't take any offense. At times in the first half of the story I laughed out loud. Because of the uselessness of the police and Gestapo investigation. The Irish Times on their reviews say Terrific...astutely deadpan thriller. Deadpan to mean saying something amusing whilst in a serious manner. Now the second half of the book the humor (if I am allowed to say that word) disappears and ruthlessness takes over. Something that the National Socialist party is only good for. I hate the word"Nazi".

I read alot of books of various genres (other than Mills and Boone) and I also read alot of book reviews (not before I read a book) and I discovered there alot of "Book Snobs" that give books one star or less. Well this time I must be a book snob because I bloody well hated this book. On the cover with the title are reviews from reputable sources that claim "a laugh out loud debut" and such others that make absolutely no sense to me. I did not laugh once. This was no "Catch 22" or "Wilt" ( or any other book by Tom Sharpe) or even "John Corey", a character written by Nelson De Mille. Now those books are hilarious. An absolute laugh a minute is "My Uncle Oswald " by Roald Dahl. This Rosie Project was dull.

This book reminds me of a Matthew Reilly

Before I picked up this book I had 2 others of different authors. Both stories were awful. But then I read this author for the first time and I loved it. I read alot, my favourite writer is Ed Mcbain, or was. RIP. When I return home I'll try to find the rest of her work.

I read a lot of books of all genres but I don't call myself a book snob but(again) I didn't like this book at all. The first 100 pages were good and for a read I thought I could do in 2-3 days ended in 7 days. It got so monotonous that I starting to reread passages and try to understand what was going on. Maybe in a few years I'll try it again. But for now I'll go onto the next read.

My first read of a Norwegian written novel whilst I am on holiday in Svalbard, Norway. Not that the plot as anything to do with where I am. I liked the title of the book when I saw it in the library and also it was the only English language book on sale in the Svalbard library. Earlier I had finished a Stephen King and was so bored to death with it that a story about crime in Norway 🇳🇴 in a peaceful town I was in would suit. And sure enough it did. I was a bit confused with the to and fro of the years but soon I got into the plot and finished the book within 3 days.

At first I was about a hundred pages into this story and I thought what the hell was I reading. It was boring. Not even the relationship with Roland and Miriam was helping my concentration. I was repeatedly rereading paragraphs. And then suddenly three days later I had finished the book. In some regards it reminded me of a John Irving saga. So ok I give this book 5 stars.

Absolutely brilliant storytelling. Probably the most action packed novel I have ever read.
