Anand Warrier – Google

I was shocked at how terrible this movie was. It is ending a franchise with three perfectly crafted movies and should have gone on for a good three hours. It just introduces us to “Apex” and all but scraps Monarch. The movie hardly has any monster action, with most of the scenes with Kaiju being Kong being stuck on a boat and then him meandering through “hollow earth”. The story completely drops Alan Jonah, who was on a cliffhanger in the post credits scene in KOTM. Worst of all is the “Godzilla Vs Kong” slogan. The final battle is just them fighting Mechagodzilla and the final fight is terrible. They look so unrealistic, not like any of the other monsterverse films, and the battle is made so poorly. Overall, I found the passion in the other monsterverse films, but this one was like ’98 zilla. Please, Adam WIngard, try harder to direct a film so we don’t have something like this.

A disappointment. The plot has many faults, like how a video game spontaneously turns into real life. This plot decision does not expand on anything, leaving you clueless about the whole movie. Then, there's the characters. The characters are nonsensical and, most of the time, downright annoying. There are three babies, and they can be irritating, not cute. What makes this worse is that they are on screen for a lot of the run time. The lead female character's voice is also annoying and you will also have to put up with her for the duration of the movie. All the other characters will get on your nerves the same way the main characters do and, as in all children's movies, they try to force laughs on you, but this is extra apparent in the movie. If you are into good animation (talk Walt Disney and Pixar), you won't find it here, just video game quality special effects. Overall, there is no excuse for the way the story tells itself.
