It is unusual to see a sequel exceed the original in the story, acting and cinematography, Tom Gun, Maverick does it in this fabulous movie. Tom Cruise delivers the hero without a cape and the blockbuster action movie we have all been waiting for over the past three years. As my grandson and I watched, it felt like we were in the cockpit of the plane, on the edge of our seats as this fast paced action movie took us for the ride of our lives. This is a must see movie, has to be at the top of the list for all to see in theaters. They only have five stars with which to rate this movie, that is not enough, I would give it twenty stars for two hours of incredible entertainment! Do not miss this one, see it today!

This movie was the worst I have ever seen, the depiction of a child being kidnapped and murdered was grisly and horrific, I would not recommend this sick and twisted tale to anyone, thumbs down all around. This will not post unless I select a star rating, does not deserve a rating, terrible movie. The hotel burning down at the end means hopefully no more sequels for this one.

Skip this movie, does not do justice to the original, Emily Blunt does well as Mary Poppins, Lin Manual Miranda a bust as Jack, his hair too neat (did not feel like a middle class worker of the period) and seemed to overshadow Mary Poppins. The movie has a dark theme, a family has lost their mother and is about to lose their home, depressing. Miranda and Emily Blunt were shown before the movie stating that they wished viewers an enjoyable experience, hard to go from their contemporary clothing and then into the characters of the movie. The songs were weak, the "Trip the Light Fantastic" out of place, they would not have used the word fantastic in the time period. Mary Poppins would not have been throwing her dress up in the Music Hall, not the 1964 Mary Poppins, I brought a 10 year old and he was falling asleep during the Fantastic sequence. Don't waste your money on this one. More retreads down the road another Dumbo and Lion King, Walt Disney was known for his originality, he must be turning over in his grave. Disney Company needs a new CEO, fresh blood and some new ideas.
