Allie Barnicoat

I have always admired Leonard Bernstein and all aspects of his music making. Yes Bradley Cooper is a fine actor and yes he did sort of look like the composer however for me the film was total pastiche. I would rather have seen a well made documentary about Bernstein’s life including interviews with those who knew him, musicians and family members, along with extracts of Bernstein himself talking. Focusing on his marriage and sexuality was irrelevant it has always been his music that has captivated me.
