Does it have its funny moments? Yes. Is the show bad? Not entirely but, Is this really the way we must always portray our culture?? I feel personally I am a walking stereotype for a Hispanic female and yet I am an educated business professional still extremely tied to my cultural roots. There is nothing wrong in being the type of Hispanic portrayed in the show but, we are so much more! After watching this show I feel it is my duty to get someone to create content portraying the new evolution of Hispanics. We still threaten our kids with the belt or chancla and value respect, family and music but, we are also cultured, well off, professionals and business people. Like the Cosby's revolutionized the industry showing a modern black family so must we ask more of our own Hispanic programming. This show could be so much more then just the struggles Hispanics live or have lived in the hood. It could have been the evolution for what Hispanics can and have become and that is my hope for the next cultural Hispanic show produced.
