Eva Neumann – Google

I‘m not really into movies where there’s a lot of singing and I wasn’t dying to see Wicked. I’ve seen the musical (slept through a good part of) but wasn’t that familiar with the story. The movie completely surprised me - it was fantastic from start to finish. The characters were vibrant and the singing superb. The time flew by and I enjoyed every minute. It’s funny. moving and exhilarating. Big 5 stars!

Terrible show. Uninspired and unoriginal. I think I laughed at one scene, the rest was predictable and boring. It’s impossible to fathom why Emily even got to go to Paris with zero language skills and seemingly fresh out of grad school. bit of a stretch... her outfits were mostly decidedly outdated or ridiculously try-hard “French” - maybe that was meant to be a joke. It’s fairy floss TV for teenage girls who probably won’t question the flimsy storyline and one dimensional characters. I’ve been to Paris many times, my cousin lives there, this was dreadful. I’m not sure how anyone would compare this favourably to Sex and the city or younger - at least these shows had unique, interesting characters and somewhat of a story line.

I really enjoyed reading this book. A very interesting story about identity and the choices we make to live our lives. I read it very quickly as it was easy to get lost in the narrative. The book follows different people of the story through different times of their lives but at the heart are the twin sisters and how they both make different lives for themselves. It’s a book about race and identity - there are various examples of how the characters choose certain pathways that takes them away from family and where they come from but still always circle back to their roots. I’d highly recommend this book. Beautifully written where the book just flows and never misses a beat. I was sad when I got to the end as I enjoyed it so much.
