Never read the books, never played the game. Honestly would give this around 4.5 out of 5, as the writing could have been a smidge bit better - as in more explanatory for those who know little of the series. Wholistically, a very good and binge worthy show, and considering this season was meant to lay the groundwork for this fantasy world, I imagine future seasons could potentially be even better.
