I was looking forward to sacred games, adapted from the novel by Vikram Chandra and there was never a moment that let go of my attention. It's definitely binge worthy and I would rate it on par with the recent 'Unabomber' and Mindhunter. The politics of Religion is the catalyst that creates situations which in reality has affected all of us. Manufactured crisis with religion as the vehicle driven by politicians, Bollywood, terrorists and criminals is the central theme. Scared Games is not your typical crime thriller with clichéd flawed cop characters and sudden twists, this is a Social commentary/crime thriller. We have a good cop Sartaj Singh played by Saif to perfection who is thrown into the middle of a deadly case that has ramifications to the entire country. There is a parallel narrative that is narrated by Don Ganesh Gaitonde played by the brilliant Nawazudhin as we follow Sartaj trying to solve this complex mystery with a deadline of 25 days. I particularly loved the role of Constable Katekar. His personal story at home has been told so well. Amazing observation by the writing team. Production design is top notch, hats off to the team. The recreation of old Mumbai particularly good. Music is haunting. Direction is no holds barred with total creative freedom. It's evident in certain scenes and usage of language. Thank god there is no censor board at Netflix. A distinct color pallette and lighting is created that succeeds in giving us a visual delight. Binge watch this series immediately. Netflix, we are waiting for the next series. Thank you Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya for taking Indian stories to the global arena.

Wow!!! Just wow. I remember watching this as a 14 year old with my friends in Bangalore. The theatre had a majority of college girls screaming when Tom cruise entered the scene. Today, watched it with my Son. It was pure nostalgia.. this is one of the best sequel and Tom Cruise is in top form. Just cannot get over this movie. Watch it folks

A story that has a very interesting premise. Gangster - Spartacus--to king STORY LINE . Amazing visuals,brilliant set design, superb BGm and a convincing role play by Yash. Unnecessary violence at certain points drag the pace of the movie, but overall a great experience.

Ghost stories review in one-word 'TIRESOME'.. Dipankar's small town, big town is layered, complex and brilliant. The standout of the series.

The beer served at cowboy krisnas inn is good, but lacks punch. East is east, west is west, never the twain shall meet. That's the feeling after watching ASN. Finding lost treasure can make up for a great story. The premise is great. Smart cop, evil baddies, fictional town and a drama company. As the story is narrated, we see cowboy characters /bounty hunters, a wannabee politician, goofy treasure hunter and an equally goofy set of side kicks. It's very unsettling as the movie shifts between fantasy and reality.. The clue finding plot is very intelligent. Kudos to the writers.. The heroine is not a great choice. Her difficulty in kannada pronunciation and constant switching to English breaks the believabilty. Rakshit Shetty is awesome and in his elements. Amazing comic timing!!! He and Balaji have carried the film to a large extent. Cinematography is brilliant . Vfx is very good, bad and ok in some places. Overall, the movie is good but fails to raise the bar towards great.. Cheers.

Watched this movie on Netflix and I enjoyed the movie. This is my first Bengali movie in recent times and loved the way story is crafted. The women are strong characters here and the cooking connection is wonderfully handled. There is always that special dish that your mom always prepares and the best compliment can always come from mom. Watch this movie with your family on a Sunday afternoon.

SEASON 2 - I have not read the Alienist Novels by Caleb Carr, so when I watched the season 1 , I was impressed by the dark, atmospheric feel and Plot. We were introduced to the Alienist and his postulations! Season 2 is different. It's all about Sara - The Detective. Angel of Darkness - Plot, A Horrifying crime, a baby killed . Time is running out as the kidnapper is not your your regular ransom seeker, he or she kills babies. A tormented mind seeking answers. Sara as the Detective takes the lead in this storyline. She comes out strong and her crime solving skills are showcased quite well. I was however disappointed to see Dr.Kreizler and Moore reduced to supporting roles with minimal contribution to crime solving. Again, I loved the Writing, set pieces, cinematography. Some of the scenes in the Downtown area are mind-blowing. Hats-off to the Art and VFX department. The world they have created is believable. AMAZING!!. The storyline is not very complicated, but it works. 4 out of 5 for an engrossing season 2. Netflix, if you are reading this, I hope to see Season 3.
