I've read over 60 self help books to help with my anxiety and PTSD and this book really just synthesized a bunch of concepts together in a way that was understandable and practical. I was always feeling frustrated with why I would act out against my better nature, and then feel immense guilt for it, but this book helped explain WHY my impulses were so hard to control and how to control them in simple to understand steps. Literally within a week of reading only half the book, I already feel less guilt, more control, and more like an adult than I have in my entire adult life. Really a life-changing read.
