I found this very confusing with all the jumping backwards and forwards in time. As everything was filmed in gloom and the main actors didn't age it was difficult to see where and when the action was taking place. Felt sorry for Anna Maxwell Martin in an awful wig and very strange accent. And all those men in suits, who were they, goverment ministers or secret service?

Can't believe that I watched the same series as these other reviewers. The plot was confusing, jumping backwards and forwards in time, unbelievable and it was obvious from the beginning who the villain was.

Oh dear! Note to the director: if you want to make an historic film then get the history right, if you want to make a film about a lesbian triangle involving royalty then make up your own story. However, the costumes, wigs and settings are gorgeous. The film is overlong, too much stomping down corridors, staring into space, could have all been over in an hour. The music (!) is intrusive. Olivia Colman is magnificent and deserves an Oscar.
