Didnt read the book. Excellent base plot but it absolutely doesnt make any sense. The show just goes God to god, culture to culture like some schitzophrenic writers interpretation of mythic history and nothing happens. Were expecting some big battle or point to the movie but it just keeps going on and on increasing confusion and boredom. Meanwhile ratings are droping, it probably wont get renewed, and likely there will be no point to this show. Season 1 excellent. Season 2 running out of ideas. Season 3 the writers must be on drugs.
