I watch a lot of crime procedurals and had higher expectations for this show. In just the first 3 episodes it has become mundane. It's the same concept in each episode. We start by seeing a murder take place, knowing who the killer is, why they killed, and how they killed, followed by an former lawyer showing the NYPD why she is better at their job than they are. She approaches everyone with a nerve grating nasaly tone and an "I don't mean to butt in, BUT..." attitude. The passive aggressiveness is hard to keep watching. It's amazing, being in New York, that somebody hasn't really let her have it yet. There's no feasibility to her "let's be friends now and still be friends after I prove you're a murderer" way of doing things. As odd as it may sound, Elsbeth gives the vibe of Delores Umbridge, but not dark hearted.
