Disappointed, I went into the movie expecting to be blown away, but it turned out to be a major letdown. While the music selection initially felt fitting, it became overbearing as the film progressed, almost like I had stumbled into a High School Musical scene rather than a Joker movie. And Lady Gaga didn’t resonate with me either in this film—her performance felt out of place. I was expecting the Joker to come out of prison strong, back to his core, but that didn’t happen either. Instead, it felt like the character never truly regained the essence that makes him so iconic.
