It's a very powerful movie. I think a review or an article cannot simply articulate the very backbone of the movie, it itself does that way better. A must watch for all. The takeaway message is women are not punching bags for men. A husband as well as the society cannot expect women to accept domestic violence, to dilute the matter and move on. The awareness the movie wants to spread is actually simple to understand for those people who already believe in equality, non-violence, dignity of an individual and have good moral and social values. Thappad is a reminder to all of us for standing up for women's right and dignity, and annihilate patriarchy.
