The near-definitive bible on Oldham's cotton mills, extant and demolished. With the demolition of Hartford mill at this time of writing, Duncan Gurr's and Julian Hunt's work is long overdue an update.
An excellent book for absolute beginners on the aforementioned subject. I only wish there was an equivalent book for the Tameside area.
