I could watch this film a thousand times and not get tired of it. It is stunning. The music, the shots, every scene is so perfectly written. There’s nothing that feels like it goes on for too long or it isn’t needed. It’s a hate letter to the system that punishes women for being victimised and praises predatory men. I wouldn’t even know how to classify it; it’s maybe a thriller but that seems too simplistic. Maybe one of the only rape-revenge horrors to actually give a damn about the woman for who she is as a person, not what was done to her body.
