I'm not saying it could have been much better given the extremely bad premise of Spiderman's identity being exposed, but this movie felt like it could have been perfect if maybe a few different narrative choices were made. Superhero movies have to be somewhat contrived I know. Portals to anywhere you want can be formed by novices, villains suddenly show up right where the hero happens to be chilling, etc. Still, this movie was way too contrived. There was an intense focus on RDJ style, quick talking humor, which is charming when Zendaya does it, but everyone else ends up mumbling ill-delivered lines. The spiderman fan service is nice, so much so that it deserves a star. 4stars.
