What a horrible book! It was redundant, racist and I downright hated the characters. The storyline was nonexistent. Something happens - the power goes out, then everyone hears a strange noise then things start to happen then the story just ends. What happened to make the power go out? What caused the noise? What happened to the characters? Your guess is as good as mine. What a cop out ending. I hated it - I do not understand the critical acclaim this book is receiving. Also, did anyone else notice the author’s use of the word ‘noun’ when ‘adjective’ should have been used? Clearly not a master of words at work here.
