Okay - so, if LeBron James is a producer for this show, he’s clearly not even watching the episodes before they get released on Disney+. Cases in point:
* In what basketball league is it possible for the players to wear gold chains while they play? This would NEVER happen, so why are the players wearing them during their games in this show?
* The clock is NEVER accurate during the games. The team was down by 7 points with 10 seconds left. Larry Bird & Reggie Miller couldn’t even come back from that kind of a deficit. It is mathematically IMPOSSIBLE to come back and score 8 points in 10 seconds.
* Overall, there are TOO MANY basketball inconsistencies in this show to take it seriously.
* And, I’m sorry, but to compare LBJ to the King James Bible is blasphemous.
The non-basketball storylines are actually quite interesting, and that is why I give it TWO stars instead of one. Yes, I’m curious which brother ends up in a wheelchair. Yes, I’m interested to learn how/when the dad is gonna die from diabetes. Yes, I’m curious which brother will end up with each girl. But…NO, the basketball storylines are not very impressive because they are not logically created and they do not follow the guidelines of basketball. When you wish upon an NBA star to produce a show, this is what you get…a disappointment as big as LBJ’s Lakers limping into the playoffs. It is ironic that this show is set in New Orleans when the Pelicans may be the team to eliminate the Lakers this season. Showtime? Hardly.
I’m out…
