Seth seems like a nice guy & I've heard he was/is a good comic writer. The shows format is pretty much a copy/paste of every other late night show, but minus the extra creativity or effort in developing more robust bits and segments that other late night shows have. It's basically a diet version of any other late night show. Each episode is comprised of Seth hurrying through a very brief 'monologue', then segues into a bit like "A Closer Look", which consists of Seth meandering through a series of topical jokes while teasing some of his writers for providing poor quality punchlines. In crafting humor, the show seems to highly value quantity much more than quality. However, that segment is usually followed up with an interesting guest interview. Seth is a great interviewer. He's charming & very personable with celeb guests. It's just shocking how bad everything else is.
