I was very disappointed in this series. I love Octavia Spencer and history, so I thought I would love this. Since we don't learn much about black history in school, I think it's important that we get the real facts before portraying the false in a series which a large amount of people are going to watch. They make her enemy in the series racist and a competition. In real life, Sarah did work for her and wasn't pushed away. Annie should be celebrated as well as her company came first and from what I've read she was into chemistry so most likely actually came up with the formula and Sarah wouldn't have ever had her business without the foundation of Annie's formula (just speculation). After becoming Madam CJ Walker, whose daughter has no historical evidence of being a lesbian btw, and accusing random cheating and backstabbing towards Madam CJ. They are ruining the names of real life people for extra drama in the series. Is this really necessary? Just tell the true story so I don't have to question the real one. Two stars for good acting and Octavia.
