Truett And Koopa

The movie was really enjoyable, but in the end I'm a really big Godzilla fan, and it turned out to be more of a Kong movie despite Godzilla being a titular character and being hyped up to have a pivotal role. I felt like they ruined Godzilla's character and perfected Kong's. Godzilla was just constantly a jerk and wasn't very logical, like in GvK he was still a jerk but you could see his intelligence through his facial expression and the way he acted. In this movie I saw neither he was just a jerk and not worthy as King of the Monsters as he ruthlessly killed the Titans that stood in his way. I did think the story was rushed but the story did make some sense, though once the final battle ended (which was overwhelming action-wise and underwhelming buildup-wise) the movie ended in like one minute, not showing much of any aftermath especially to what happened to Rio de Janeiro. Other than Godzilla some other characters were poorly underused despite being built up to have significant roles (Mothra especially). Other than that, Skar King was a very evil villain and they did a good job showing it, and Shimo was very cool. All in all I'd recommend it for more Kong fans but I still liked it as a Godzilla fan. 7.5/10

I went and saw it with my friends. They all thought it was insane. It didn't meet my expectations but it was really good. The first hour is a little slow, but the next hour makes up for it (trust me.) Also the 'plot' kicked in a little late but it was supposed to be a trilogy so if there are sequels I'm sure they'll introduce more aspect of 'the twist'. I recommend seeing it in theaters, just because the amazing graphics must be seen on a large screen and the surround sound makes it more real. Overall a fun movie to enjoy, just ignore the facts!
