Wife and I both got the ultimate edition of the game. We always do for Diablo. Mind you before you read this review, keep in mind I proposed to my wife with a hellfire ring on diablo3 hardcore.
So far I've been playing the story through, it's not a bad game, but the difficulty scaling is wrong. A lvl 1 shouldn't be going against Lilith. Doesn't make sense.
The only real pet peeve I ever have in a game is what restricts you. They have this currency called obols. What a joke. It reminds me of those burning shards from immortal. You can only have so many, when your full you have to spend them. Why? I always in all games save my wad till I'm at top tier then bust my proverbial wad on what I want. This game is forcing us to spend them valuable currency every other run. Which is disappointing considering nobody cares how much Blizzard has in its bank account.... Why do they care how much we save? Or use it on?
I was happier on Diablo 3 with the real money market. People be selling the items on the black market regardless of blizzard taking away the money market
I loved the real money market from diablo3 before they removed it. Was a great way to make sense of the thousands of hours I was playing. And it made money for blizzard as well. The issue was all the cry babies saying it was pay to win. When it was the opposite. Now blizzard has all of the transactions, and the players get nothing. Even though the black market still exists, and might I add making them filthy rich. Unlike what the micro transactions are making for blizzard as we speak.
Playing games to make money, Isnt that part of today's massive economy? I'd suggest more games add a player real money market and still charge the 10% per transaction.
For those crying already about a real money market .. mind you I never spent a dime on Diablo 3 after buying it. I had thousands of dollars in my paypal, had thousands of dollars worth of gear I was wearing. I spent $0 on it. How? I played the game and sold stuff then used that money to buy the stuff I wanted. Instead of crying things cost money, I found a way to make money. Which is exactly what the cry babies should have been looking at.. the squeaky wheel even though the ones functioning properly out number the squeaky wheel always seem to decide the fate for the rest of us. Get with the time. E-sports are a thing. Either you can make fat bank off it, or you can aid the black market community by not taking advantage of it.
Diablo isn't the only game with a black market. And those of us looking to make money playing games, shouldnt be hindered by the cry babies.
