Honestly, if the lead roles of the film were not Yuna Taira and Alan Shirahama, I would not watch this film. However, about the movie itself, I specifically love the cinematography or how they deliver it. They absolutely put a lot of effort in making every scene very realistic and aesthetic. The placing of the angles or shots really set the mood and emotions of the scenes into another level.
Regarding the characters, I could say that Yuna and Alan's portrayal give the perfect images of the characters. I know they did their best in this film but I think or in my opinion, that was not their best yet. Still, the chemistry was totally there, likewise they perfectly showed how both romantic and soul-mate relationship looks like.
When I watched the trailer, I thought that the plot of the movie would solely revolve around the lead roles' romantic relationship, the sweet moments and conflicts because of the disease. But this film is another proof that Japanese movies places friendships and family relationships as well at their vital positions in every aspects of life.
