First time watching recently, I was impressed by the depth of complicated psychology the character played by Kirk Douglas displayed. The Bad and the Beautiful has found a place on my favorites list to be watched repeatedly.

Saw it for the first time last night. Inspirational. Seven years to reach a natural balance. Reminded me of a favorite book written in the 60s called Triple Ridge Farm.
