Savarkar was a freedom fighter & a social reformer. His contribution to literature & poetry is unforgettable. He was d most dreaded freedom fighter by d Brits. That's why they jailed him for 27 years, including 11y of "Kala Pani" in Andaman. No congressman ever got 'Kala Pani' punishment. In contrast, Gandhiji & Nehru got 5-star jails. Congress continued with Brits hate towards him after independence. He was removed from Indian history. (Same is true abt Subhash Chandra Bose led INA) Making a biopic of a person who is complex, multi-faceted, determined & ahead of his time is a difficult task. And to fit it in 2h is even more difficult. It's very well done. A must watch
