Robin Redbreast

I have seen three versions of the Count of Monte Cristo. I watched the 1934 version, the 1975 version, and the 2002 version. The 2002 version is by far the best version of them all in my opinion. The cast, the directing, the sets, the screen writing, the screen adaptation, the costumes, and the acting is absolutely superb. That's why this version of the Count of Monte Cristo is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I give the acting in this movie 5 stars. I give the directing of this movie 5 stars. I give the overall presentation of this movie The look of it five stars. But from start to finish the movie was just sad. I felt sad through the whole darn thing. The few moments of happiness that it showed didn't last long enough for me to enjoy the happy moment. It was just sad sad sad and the weight of it was just too much. I watched it because I was told it was a feel good movie. The truth of the matter is I didn't feel good in most of it. There are a few minutes at the end that were nice. And here and there there were sprinkles of niceness through the movie. But there were few and far between and the nice moments only lasted for a very short time. I was so glad when this movie was over and I would not want to watch it again.

I really enjoyed this series. The characters were fantastic and were all played by fantastic actors. The storylines were really interesting. I love this type of futuristic drama. It's so much better than the doom and gloom kind where everybody's suffering and everything's horrific. This gives a view of possible future happiness and success. That's why Star Trek what's so popular as well. I know this is based on Star Trek but it also added a sort of comic realness. I wish it could have continued. But the final episode was very satisfying. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Of the 3 Wonka movies this is by far the best of them all. I love that Timothée Chalamet chose to play the character in earnest. Whereas in the other two movies the stars kind of played the main character tongue in cheek. I also love the story. It's a fantastic origin story. The cast is perfect. The music is fantastic. And I love where they gave and not to the first Wonka movie with some of the music and characters. This is just awesome all way around. I hope they do not attempt to make a fourth Wonka movie. There is no way to improve upon perfection and this one can movie is perfect.

It started out being a great movie. But after they shoplifted from a local grocery store and nearly drove over the store manager who was running after them I couldn't watch it anymore. That scene was treated as if it was supposed to be funny and cute. It was not. They became criminals by doing that and there were no consequences. After that point all I wanted to see was them pay for their crimes. I guarantee; if those two individuals had been black or brown in the movie that criminal act would not have been considered cute and adorable and it would not have been treated that way in the movie. I wish this scene had not been part of the movie. From what I have read it would have probably been a great movie to watch.
