An American Classic, right up there with My Fair Lady, Singing In The Rain, Oklahoma, Brigadoon, The King and I, etc. Great story line from the era of the traveling salesmen, and an outstanding cast of the best actors of the time!

Redundant plots. Always at a fair or community gathering. Always involves infidelity and jealousy. Changes in cast are made without transition or explanation. Unimaginative writers and very predictable plots. Almost everyone dies by being hit on back of head or poisoned. All in all....good acting but disappointing!
