It seemed like they really half butt it... It shows that Hollywood doesn't really care about the animations. Like the animation of it was absolutely phenomenal but, everything else just wasn't it.. As well as Hollywood want to seem woke and make Princess Peach can do anything and save her kingdom by herself when in the games she isn't capable and not this perfect girl boss that they are showing, it doesn't stick to the original. The voice acting of it, only few sounded like their character to me, a lot of them didn't sit right. Such as cranky kong sounded youthful rather then old, luma just sounded weird and honestly I never thought a voice for it, peach voice was tomboyish didn't fit her style as well her being tomboy didn't fit what she is known for, etc. Seth Rogean obviously doesn't care about his role or the movie and was in it for the money and just sounded like himself, as well on those fun little bits such as the actors/actress singing the mario theme song it was blankly obvious that he didn't want to be there and being ignorant. Chris Pratt also just sounded like himself except for the little commercial. They could a gave better storyline and better character development that is actually fit for them. I agree with some of the 1 star reviewers to be honest. To put it in perspective it's mainly made for children, and people who played a few of the games.. If you are a true true mario fan that played a lot of the games, watch the mario show, and know the style/plot of the franchise or along those lines then you most likely won't like it to be fair. Illumination is amazing with their production, and I love their previous work and everything but, all their works has been original and not based on something that has been around for a while. All in all that is my honest review, and thank you for your time. My last post might of gotten delete it but luckily I have a copy cuz I just copied the original to a friend. ðŸ¤
