KURT RUSSELL as Santa Claus, who would have thought? Well, ”The Christmas Chronicles” has Kurt as the embodiment of the spirit of Christmas, and I am now a True Believer. The Chronicles is a fanciful modern-day movie that encompasses all ages. Young folks will watch it because it’s Santa and it deals with sibling getting along with one another, a parent that is dealing with life. The tween’ers will view the movie because they heard it was entertaining. Old folks will watch it out of their curiosity. That being said, this is what you get - kids, plane crash, lost reindeer, car chase, car crash, separation, a space-folding bag (that is way bigger on the inside), Elvis’ “Jail House Rock.” The ending is the ruse to save Christmas but then is show that even Santa can tell a little fib to prove a point. The point is everybody can be good except those who receive coal for Christmas’s as their presents. The movie is metafictional, but believe me, you will not mind it at all. True Believer you will become!
