If you are a trauma informed person reading this you will very vividly hear and understand her trauma. But if you are a person within the church who isn't intellectual at all, who's reading it then yes you will say your normal anti Jesus words because that's how weak you are.
When you start getting flashbacks they always come out extremely scattered and its very common to get small details wrong. But the horror, feelings, and the main events, no. It's not possible to get that wrong. I am also a former horse and buggy Mennonite, age 28, who endure SRA, was professionally trafficked, sold and abused by law enforcement, got ect treatments, and witnessed murders. Your body never forgets something as horrific as murder. It is an unfathomable amount of pain. Yet, so many of us go through that alone because it's not believable and there isn't enough healthy support.
Trauma is extremely hard to deal with. Opinions from small minded people don't matter. The plain circles are NOT exempt from crimes like this. They actually are the perfect targets for crimes like this to happen for decades. For the person that said "where's the evidence", I would always recommend victims to report to the FBI, the first law enforcement to ever take me seriously.
The author had tremendous courage writing this. I applaud and support her.
