Anupamaa is an very interesting series and a must watch. Not only is this series entertaining, but worth watching as we can all learn how to improve ourselves. The superb acting of the cast, the realistic story and the way the story unfolds makes this series a must watch. The story itself, could be one that might happen in your own family.
Anupamaa's life, the sacrifices that she makes to care for her family, the importance that she places in her husband, only to learn that he's having an affair with the younger, more modern colleague, Kavya. Anupamaa's acting itself is worth watching this series. Her facial expressions, her mature, unwavering dialogue written by excellent script writers, and the motherly support she provides her entire family.
However, her critical husband Vanraj, has also done a suberb job in acting. Before you hate Vanraj, you must appreciate his acting skills. I'm sure it is not easy to act as you are always angry and upset. Observe his eyes and his facial expressions demonstrating his angry, egoistic personality. He is a angry husband but a star actor!
Even the supporting actors, Anupamaa's mom-in-law, dad-in-law, her 3 kids and their friends. What about Kinjal's mom who takes the family to that resort only for them to see Vanraj having his affair!? She criticizes Vanraj for his affair and refuses to allow her daughter to marry into that middle class family. She also did a fantastic acting job in that scene. WOW, she was the only one who spoke up and criticized Vanraj and he was forced to listen to her.
We must not forgot the dear Kavya, Vanraj's mistress. Of course, we all dislike her fiercely but what an actress she is! The way she lovingly supports Vanraj, but also her temper tantrums and dialogue. Remember the scene where she tells Vanraj that she will do as she pleases (park scene where she's talking to another jogger upsetting Vanraj when he observes).
You will love this series, the characters, the dialogue, the story and the hope that Anupamaa herself, grows becoming successful and starts supporting her family without her husband. Maybe one day, Vanraj will realize his mistake understanding that he took for granted what a good thing he had at home...
