Love love love the episode on Bledsoe. I had a close encounter at 10 years old and told no one but my parents who saw me when I finally got home. Sad that his community chastised him so badly but confirmation that it was right to keep it under my hat for near 30 years. Now, at 60, people are interested in my experience. That was in the 60’s , no compact cameras or anything close.
Thank you. You have zero idea what you’ve done for that family.
With recent disclosures I feel validated, not crazy.
Family history my Grandfather was one of the first to get off the ground he piloted a single person dirigible, modern day blimp, way back in the 30’s and 40’s. He also was one of the first to get a water landing and takeoff with the Z-71 albatross, look it up, it’s on google. His name was AK Peterson. This Albatross was pre Hughes, he was a captain in thenUS Navy. My mother enlisted at 19 to serve WWII, left college and became a Link Trainer stateside. Grandpa made sure she didn’t go abroad.
Grandpa help his Sporting License, now called a pilots license, they didn’t know what to call it back then. His was #12 signed by Orville Wright.
