Great storytelling with a fantastic array of animation techniques. The flow is paced to maintain interest with deep emotional tethers. Between the lines was a lot of historical nuance for the period the show takes place in and it gives an environmental asthetic that adds flavor to its animation style. I highly recommend this for the adult anime aficionado.
