I am sorry but I need to say that have read many of these reviews and I have to say that I cannot fathom how anyone who has celebrated Asimov's Foundation, Empire and Robot series can see anything positive with Apple TV's adaptation. I was very hesitant to watch the show because I have seen other novels ad series crippled by production studios, screen writers and posers of creativity riding the coat tails of past artists. I will not go into the details of why I detested this series as many of the reviewers have done a good job of highlighting many of the reasons that bring to light the disparity and outright shamefulness of "STEALING" an original works followers and supporters by riding the success by name only. I do not see myself as a intellectual prude but if you are going to so change a story as APPLE did just grow some balls and call it something else, change the universe, create your own story and see if it can stand alone on its own merit. There is an infinite possibility, an infinite universe to CREATE a unique story on your own. Why destroy a work of art already created? Let it be known that I have seen many adaptations that do not do the original justice but this one is among the few where it bears NO resemblance to the "Flavor, the core Path, the unique concept and the rhythm of the Foundation series. Someone said it is an adaptation which brings the 1950's writing into todays expectations... I say BS and I hope that some day someone does a honorable job of adapting Foundation to the visual and APPLE TV was an example of how NOT to do it well. I am so sad.
