The beginning through towards the end of the movie was very interesting, appealing, and promising. It shed light on the serious mental illness some teens face because of home life and ignorance of many peers. I really appreciated the movie shedding light on what teenagers actually go through which is minimized by adults and other peers. One of the problems I ran into in the movie was that there were so many unanswered questions which in the beginning was nice because it created curiosity and a want to go through and see everything fully explained but those questions never got answered. Also, the co star of the movie does not get the relief he was really looking for which they made seem like was going to happen. Even if they were trying to make it seem like real life I believe if the idea of them making the movie about love curing pain is what they were going for they did not follow through. I know that life isn’t perfect and I don’t believe the movie should have been portrayed that way but I thought the whole point was that the ones who love you can help ease the pain just enough for you to move on and get stronger. If not that than what’s the point. The movie should have showd that it gets easier when you have people willing to stand with you and accept you simply for your own good. It basically is teaching that even with someone trying to support you and be all the way there for you, there’s no hope anyways and you should just give up. I hated the ending it broke my heart and upset some of the problems I have in my own life that I know won’t float away but I thought that having people will make you stronger. For me the message of this movie is not that true love will heal it’s that no matter what you have going for you it couldn’t prevent your worst fear or ease even the littlest bit of the pain.
