I was disappointed with this story because it borrowed too heavily from a beloved fairy tale. Why tamper with the classic Cinderella narrative? Furthermore, Mr. Hans was a despicable character who got what was coming to him. It's frustrating that the Prince failed to recognize Hans' initial aggression towards Cinderella and other girls, but was focused on capturing the killer of a manipulative blackmailer. To make matters worse, the Prince was already smitten with someone else! It's baffling how the author chose to deviate from the original story in such a misguided way.
