I threw this book in the garbage after reading it. I didn't even donate it because I felt it was that bad. Besides the semi-victim blaming in the first few sections of the book, it doesn't encourage you to look inward at your feelings. Instead, it preaches to "not take things personally" even if someone shoots you in the head- no joke. Actual inner work involves accepting and understanding ALL feelings and not pushing them aside including criticism which this book also claims is "poison". Anyway, definitely a toxic positivity "self-help" book that does more harm than good.
