This a real stinker of a movie. The hype is in reuniting the two leads after their long ago flick "Sabrina.' (Any fan of either of them knows about the fabled tragic romance between them.) I expected - hoped -for some of the talent and chemistry each of them had shown before.
Instead, this farce.
This is a cynical movie, playing down to any true movie fan, filled with cloying hackneyed dialogue and too many of Hepburn's stock reaction expressions. She has a pet bird. She wears Givenchy.
This feels like one big joke - on the audience
I like both of them and wanted to like the film, but they took advantage of that affection by making this crude parody of a love story. Boo.
