I find this movie very entertain able. While the beginning wasn’t very interesting besides the first fight scene, it never caught my true interest to see Cole. The villains in the movie that showed the best in the franchise was Sub-Zero and Kano. The rest were mainly there to show off a good fight scene at best. However I loved how characters like Sonya and Jax show they are fighters even when Sonya doesn’t have a marking and Jax lost his arms. It is honestly amazing how they grow. I believe the best part of this movie were the fatalities. Which is honestly the main reason I wanted to see this movie and oh man they never disappoint. With action packed, adventurous, and grand cast of characters, I see this movie as a good beginning film to things to come. The only thing holding it back is the main character not being very interesting and how dirty they treated villains like Mileena who had a big role within the games. She kinda just showed up and fought. If they can fix those and add some more interesting points of story, this could have been the best video game movie in recent years.
