While I think that the acting was good and the screenplay was beautiful, I found the movie extremely lengthy and the character development insufficient. It seems like the movie is flooded with death and tragedy in order to achieve emotional depth. The homophobia theme is overstretched, it seems like the only reason he's revisiting his dead parents is to reveal his sexual orientation and while that is important, I think it should have been balanced with other aspects the coming of age phase. Also, the end is dark and confusing and I don't really know how to connect it to the rest of the movie - but maybe that's just me and I just didn't understand it completely.
